About this experience
Sailing in Cabo San Lucas is a different kind of day on the water. The engine is off. The sails are up. You hear the wind and the water, not a diesel. We operate Cabo’s sailing fleet with three ways to come aboard — a shared sailboat cruise for solo travelers and small groups, and two private sailboats (42' and 38') for groups who want the whole boat. Every trip sails past Land’s End and the Arch, snorkels at Pelican Rock, and includes an unlimited bar, fresh food, snorkel gear, towels, Bluetooth speakers, and a bilingual sailing crew. Three hours standard; extend by the hour for a longer day.

Why sail instead of motor
A sailboat is not a motor yacht with a token mast. Cabo Sailing is a true sailing fleet — here’s why guests choose us over a motor charter.
Quiet
No engine drone. Hear the ocean, the wind, and your group — the way Cabo was meant to be experienced.
Eco-friendly
When wind cooperates, we sail under power alone. Zero emissions, zero noise, zero fuel.
Real sailing
Authentic sailboats and real sailing crews — not motorboats with token sails. The wind does the work.
Romantic
Slower pace, golden light, the boat heeling gently. Honeymoons, anniversaries, and quiet moments.

We actually sail. When wind allows — which is most departures — engines off, sails up, the boat moves under power of the wind. We’re a sailing fleet, not motorboats with token rigging.
We always go out. Even on light-wind days you’ll experience real sailing for parts of the trip. We use the engine as needed to keep the itinerary on time — same snorkel stop, same scenery, same all-inclusive day.
Cabo’s waters are typically calm. Sailboats heel (tilt) gently under sail — most guests find it exciting, not unsettling. If anyone in your group is uncomfortable, we reef the sails or motor for a flatter ride.
Yes! Our crew welcomes guests who want to handle a line, trim the sails, or take the helm under supervision. It’s one of the favorite parts for guests who already sail — and a great intro for anyone curious.
Yes. Pelican Rock is the standard snorkel stop on every sailing trip — calm, clear water, tropical fish, sea lions. Snorkel gear in all sizes is included. Beginners and kids welcome; the crew helps anyone who needs it.
Yes — it’s our most popular private sailing booking. Golden hour, sails up, no engine. Book a dedicated shared sunset sail, a private sunset charter, or add a sunset return to a private day charter.
If the captain determines it’s unsafe to sail, we reschedule your trip at no charge — or refund in full if you can’t rebook. Cabo’s weather is excellent year-round, but in the rare case of high winds or rough seas we always prioritize safety. See our cancellation & weather policies.
All sailings depart from Cabo Marina, Dock F. We’ll send detailed directions and a map after booking. Shuttle service available from any Cabo hotel.
